So everyone says the cia sold crack to black community’s and I wanted to try and look into it to see if it’s true, and I could be wrong this is 30 minutes of research on my phone high as fuck.
But so it’s like the cia wasnt really selling coke at all but there was an illegal war going on about communism and at the time communism meant the end for America apparently? So preventing communism was really important at the time. So even though it’s an illegal war the government was willing to privately support the Nicaraguan Contra groups. The cia specifically supported them.
So how I understand it is the contras were running low on money. So Norwin Meneses a big Nicaraguan drug trafficker, he was already connected. So he paid the contras so basically he would fund their war with drug money if they would give him cover and immunity so he could make a lot of money selling to the us.
So now we get to a guy named Oscar Danilo Blandón who was born in Nicaragua. So he knew norwin meneses because they were both Nicaraguan exiles(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicaraguan_Revolution)
but he fled to the us after the Sandinista revolution in 1979. So Oscar’s whole thing is networking. So in the us he was networking. So with immunity from the contras norwin meneses sold the coke to Oscar Danilo Blandón in the u.s and he sold it to people like freeway Rick ross. there was more people but he’s the only one really in the spotlight like that so I don’t know who else.
But you would probably think at some point the dea and fbi and stuff would catch on right? At the end of the day they’re just drug smugglers. Except they aren’t just drug smugglers. Their drug money was funding an illegal war against communism which America was very against at the time because it threatened democracy. So this is where the cia comes into play. They didn’t sell coke to anyone they didn’t touch the coke, but they knew the coke was being sold and they blocked investigations into it they were covering it up.
Now crack… I don’t think the cia intended on the crack epidemic at all I don’t think anyone did except maybe the drug dealers I think some dealer or more likely a addict figured out how to cook it and dealers capitalized on it, but obviously Reagan used it to push his prejudices and all that but yeah don’t take this as fact do your own research becsuse in probably wrong in a lot of this.
