It may have spent the last couple decades on life support, but justice is fucking dead.
I’m not sure when we, as a nation, decided that it’s acceptable that our overlords can’t be held accountable for crimes. Maybe it was when Ford pardoned Nixon. Maybe it was when Obama decided to not go after Bush appointees for their war crimes. Maybe it’s when Trump decided “lock her up” wasn’t a campaign promise he wanted to keep. Maybe it goes all the way back to Andrew Johnson ending reconstruction and embracing southern traitors. What I do know is that until we actually sack up and go after these miserable fucks, we are only going to devolve deeper and deeper into this shitstorm.
