Over the years the ISP’s slowly told us how much more they were spying on us to get our guard down. Now they are totally open about it. I cant believe anyone thought Snowden was a real whistle blower.

Does anyone recognize this quote? I think it was in Zeitgeist or a similar documentary. It was something along the lines of “When the time comes for surveillance and social control, it will not be thrust upon the people. The people will demand it”.
As a teenager, I never understood what they meant. Then years later Alexa came out and it all became very clear. The people will demand it because it is being packaged as the new thing. The gadget of the year. The hot new item that will make your life complete.
