Spent a few nights filming Flock Safety cameras to see how their IR works.
Turns out the IR flash activates just from human movement.

You can’t see it with the naked eye,
but phone cameras pick it up instantly.

According to their documents, non-vehicle frames get filtered out by the onboard AI…
but the fact that the hardware activates on any warm-body motion feels worth discussing.

Is this normal for ALPR systems?
Anyone who works with these care to chime in?

Posting footage if anyone wants to see what the flash actually looks like.
