They need laws like these for especially elderly and hospital/insurance billing. So many of them involved medicated individuals with reduced capacity, are undergoing severely traumatic treatments and unable to handle the stress, and predatory practices prey on someone getting double billed.
When there’s any issue like this, let the bill & a fine instead immediately fall between the insurer and the hospital and them let them duke it out over who is responsible. I guarantee you that within a year, all facility/coverage billing issues will never be heard from again.
