All of us years ago knew this AI overlord crap was going to come. My question here is, what state will fight this? I will move to whichever state will refuse to adopt total surveillance control (banking, Flock, etc) but it seems like there is no way around it. It is moving so fast and seems inevitable..

Every major developed nation is already watching its people – that ship has sailed.
AI will mostly degrade the internet as nothing will be reliable, due either to generative AI or bots. If we are lucky this leads to a resurgence of people going outside. If we are unlucky it leads to everyone hanging out in VR chats with full body motion sensors as the awkwardness of human motion and interaction will still be too hard for an AI to imitate in that space for now.
We can either do this and hope the American government wins and doesn’t oppress us much more then they already do (wishful thinking) or we keep the red tape and china wins and we can have all the fun with that. Because I dont think they’ll be as nice about using it against people.
Oh look, another example of Trump openly and brazenly blowing past constitutional and statutory limits to presidential power.
Remember when his budget bill had a moratorium on state level regulations for AI? As soon as it was discovered, the outcry was fast and ferocious, and it was quickly removed.
