We need a federal 3 strikes law, federal limits on judges’ leniency, and way tougher sentencing across the board.

IDK if the answer is 3 strikes, 5 strikes, or some sliding scale based on the crime, but surely 100 strikes is too many. At a certain point the person clearly isn’t getting the message and should be kept away from the public

Part of the purpose of correctional facilities is to keep dangerous people off the streets for the benefit of everyone else.
What we’re seeing from permissive politics is not an alternative path to fixing the problem, but simply *embracing the problem* and telling the rest of the world they’re the ones who need to change.
