Interesting graphics from Reuters showing the boom in the defense industry since 2024. People often complain about European defense companies but clearly there’s been a step up. I don’t think anything will actually shake America as the world’s arms broker, the US defense industry is an absolute behenoth, but now there’s more competition on the scene. Possibly worse for world stability but better for individual countries.
On a personal note, I invested a ton in defense contractors last year because I felt these winds blowing and I couldn’t be happier. More growth please.
