The U.K. overlaps like 95% of the E.U.’s free trade agreements and mostly just rolled them over when they left.
And in that remaining 5% the E.U. is already pursuing/negotiating free trade agreements with them anyways.
I don’t get the point of fretting about this like Starmer is. The E.U. customs area makes up an insane proportion of the U.K.’s economy and should be prioritized way more.

The more likely reason the U.K. won’t rejoin the EU is out of pride….and converting to the Euro would be a likely requirement for being ‘forgiven’ for Brexit.
