The irony is he could’ve just repeated what he did in Term 1. Ridden the coattails of a good (but not perfect) economy, expanded upon it and taken the credit. But no. The crazies run the show now and his insane cultists want their preposterous tariffs and mass deportations.
I’m actually kind of mad now that the “sane” republicans kept him from his worst impulses in his first term. He built an undeservedly good reputation on the economy by largely leaving it alone and juicing it with tax cuts. If he’d been allowed to do what he wanted and actually fuck it up the first time, maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess now.

Tariffman could end all of this tomorrow if he wanted to, but every day that passes, I cant help but think how much permanent damage we are doing to the economy and our reputation.
