While I’m glad they’re doing the tariffs, the administration of them has been dogshit. I have a friend who works in importing. They will buy the product, have it shipped to the US, pay the customs fees, sell the entire load and then three months later get a $30k tariff invoice.
We need to collect the tariffs at the time of unloading otherwise we’re hurting our own merchants who lose out when the bill shows up after prices were set and sales completed.
