The answer is simple, once they found there was no Epstein connection to Trump the Biden Admin realized releasing the files would be a waste of their time

It’s the same problem as to why Harris didn’t do all the things she promised during her campaign while she was already VP. Better border security, cheaper groceries, lower gas price, if “nothing comes to mind” for anything she would do different than Biden why would things change or why wouldn’t those problems have already been solved?
