ICE: 70% Arrested Had Criminal Ties

    >ICE said 70%, roughly 416,000, had “criminal convictions or pending criminal charges” in the United States, underscoring President Donald Trump’s promise to prioritize the “worst of the worst” in immigration enforcement.

    Pending charges means the case rolls for years while lawyers play tricks and judges try to reform defendants without prison. (Rehab, whatever other programs.) If people had *no probable cause for their case to move forward* they’d walk right after the judge said so following their arrest.

    416k of these cases just got taken off the public’s shoulders, not just to the benefit of taxpayers but also to the benefit of people waiting in line (sometimes as their major life problems deteriorate) for their turn with the government.
