Lincoln was hated by the mainstream media when he was president and a liberal Democrat killed him. The media hates Trump toady but history will look back and see all the good he did for America

A New Yorker who saw the mess the last five to six admins had made over the years, rolled up his sleeves, and got his hands dirty to get the job done. Even if it wasn’t popular with media folks and certain allies abroad.

Lincoln isnt a great example. He did a lot of things that would be considered tyrannical. Suspended habeas corpus, shut down many newspapers critical of him, jailed dissidents including political opposition, authorized military trials for civilians, raised troops and issued the emancipation proclamation (neither which fell under sole executive powers) without Congressional approval. Then there’s the question of how far his knowledge of Sherman’s (argued) war crimes in Georgia went.
He’s practically a saint to some, especially older conservatives but he made a lot of really scary decisions constitutionally speaking.

Not a fan of Lincoln.
And by all the liberal communists who adore him, and think the “US” was perfect for just those 4-5 years (and awful otherwise), you can pretty much tell how to gauge Lincoln.

I’m not so sure about this meme.
There is a ron paul quote; Ideas are the only thing that matters. Politicians are for the most part, pretty much irrelevant.
You can silence a person, but you can’t stop an idea who’s time as come.
Liberty and freedom will live in our hearts forever and ever and ever. Nobody will ever take this away from us. God help them when they try.
