As Canada’s federal government continues to restrict immigration pathways, roughly 2 million work permits will expire by mid-2026. Another 1.3 million for the year following that as the post graduate work permits from the record 2021 years are set to expire.
Considering how Canada’s population has ALREADY declined this past quarter, we can expect even further declines up to 0.9% of the population in each quarter per stats can projections.
