A new Digital ID will soon be required to work in the UK

The ID has sparked debate over security and civil liberties.

Downing Street has insisted that digital IDs will not be required for healthcare, welfare payments, or everyday activities such as travel, but will be mandatory only for proving the right to work. For now, officials face a delicate balancing act: persuading employers and citizens of the system's technological security while addressing widespread concerns about what critics see as the creeping normalization of state surveillance.

The right to be employed is not the same thing as the right to work.

    See – self employment.

  2. Assuming anything can be hacked, I don’t understand why governments want all the liability a Digital ID system would entail.

It will start out relatively light then within a year or two you’ll find you are unable to post anything online without digital ID. Already platforms like bluesky and Xbox won’t let you use chat features without verifying ID. Almost all of the subs that detail Israel’s war crimes and genocide became inaccessible after the UK brought in age verification online. Journalists have been raided by the police and had computers seized for posting anti- Israel content on Twitter.

It will be used for mass censorship and surveillance.

Why else are billionaire Zionists so insistent on pushing this?

Larry Ellision, Oracle. Pro-digital ID, pro-AI surveillance state, pro-genocide.

    >”We’re going to have supervision,” Ellison said. “Every police officer is going to be supervised at all times, and if there’s a problem, AI will report that problem and report it to the appropriate person. Citizens will be on their best behavior because we are constantly recording and reporting everything that’s going on.”

    >The Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, upon the insistence of Tony Blair, the former leader and his mentor, now turned global lobbyist, and who in turn is backed by Californian tech billionaire Larry Ellison, and who both may profit from this – has told us that we will all be getting ‘a digital ID [that] will sit on people’s phones’.

    >Since then, it has been revealed that Ellison helped Tony Blair lobby the current government to bring in the concept of digital ID cards, meaning his company will rake in millions of pounds.

    >The largest single gift in FIDF’s history was announced at the event as $16.6 million from Oracle Co-Founder, Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer Larry Ellison. His donation will support the construction of well-being facilities on a new training campus for the IDF’s coed infantry units.

    >“For 2,000 years, we were a stateless people, but now we have a country we can call our own. Through all of the perilous times since Israel’s founding, we have called on the brave men and women of the IDF to defend our home. In my mind, there is no greater honor than supporting some of the bravest people in the world, and I thank FIDF for allowing us to celebrate and support these soldiers year after year. We should do all we can to show these heroic soldiers that they are not alone,” said Ellison.

Larry Fink, BlackRock. Pro-digital ID, pro-genocide.

    >The takeaway is clear. If we’re serious about building an efficient and accessible financial system, championing tokenization alone won’t suffice. We must solve digital verification, too.

    >BlackRock has extensive investments in companies allied closely to Israel’s arms industry. It has, for example, a 7.4 per cent stake in Lockheed Martin, a US defence contractor that has played a critical role in arming the Israeli military. This is why Lockheed has been accused of complicity in the barbaric genocide in Gaza which is now in its eighth month. The CEO of BlackRock, Larry Fink, is known to be a staunch supporter of Israel in its ongoing massacre of Palestinians.
