The country is being run by people so stupid that it is actually hard to believe, because most of us have never encountered THIS level of idiocy in real life.

Since the inauguration of Donald Trump, the Trump administration has been consistently stripping away US influence in the belief that hard power is the only thing that works, not soft power which was the quintessential US policy for decades after WWII. Now, we are seeing the results of this as USA throws away their soft power and alienates its very own allies that they’ve created and nurtured by threatening Denmark, one of their most pro-US countries over Greenland just after a day after capturing Maduro.
Looking at history, I expect all countries and empires to decline someday, but never the speed USA is doing now.
