Submission statement: Iran is currently experiencing an unusually violent wave of protests against the regime, amidst a harsh drought and acute water shortage in Tehran. The IRGC has reportedly cut off internet in Iran, but Starlink is still getting news and media out of the country.
Trump has said that he will hit Iran very hard and make them pay if they kill any protestors, which they already have. However, there was recent international condemnation of the Trump administration taking action against an autocrat on before of a popular resistance, so he may be reticent to do so again.
Should America help? Would that be considered a further erosion of international law? Would it be right to let Iranian protestors be killed and ultimately suppressed because they need help to get over the top? Should we prioritize international law, or fighting dictatorships who are opposed to American interests and aligned with Russia and/or China?

Definitely the largest crowds in Tehran tonight since early 2023. The neighborhood of Narmak is just congested with protesters.
This story has taken somewhat of a backseat to the murder in Minneapolis and the Maduro regime ousted
I still don’t think these protests will topple this very heinous regime but the longer they go on, the more hopeful I am that these will
America should take covert measures, signal jamming state communications, and restoring internet access where we can. Nothing too direct. But the regime is screwed, their only option is a harsh crackdown that surpasses anything done previously and famously, that’s when security forces start de-obeying orders.
This is all or never for Iranian. While Putin at its weakest and Trump is at the strongest. They have to do it now

Good luck
