I agree with almost everything Trump does. I look beyond the surface level and see the end goal or importance.
I am not saying Greenland isn’t important but we already have a base there… We can add more bases… It should have been sold as an investment into the country and we could have expanded our influence that way.
The only thing I can see beyond the surface level is a pro move to force European countries to contribute more to the defense of Europe. So that far is working but the image is horrible.

The EU is not a region you want to try and have a trade war with.
They are one of the few regions that can call a bluff on economic terms.
