Honestly at this stage if you have faith or hope that Donald Trump will do the right thing for you without some kind of massive personal enrichment for himself than you are hopelessly naive.

Trump only cares about himself. No group should believe that Trump has their interests at heart, especially when it comes to humanitarian or geopolitical matters. He is a con artist and will throw you under the bus when it is politically convenient.

Extraordinary that Trump can elicit this kind of faith from non-Americans, even at this late date, the power of a brand I suppose.
edit: though having talked to Iranians, maybe i shouldn’t be surprised by this, they are tuned into American politics to an absurd degree and divide into stanning Democrats or Republicans on not too dissimilar ideological lines.
This is one of the reasons having a dumb reckless child in charge of the US is so dangerous. If he wasn’t going to be able to support the protestors then he shouldn’t have behaved the way he did. It got good people killed. I hope that something can be done about the crimes committed by the Iranian government.

I heard someone say that they were extremely skeptical that Trump would help the Iranian protestors as it would have been the first time Trump acted solely in defense of human rights. That commenter was extremely correct.
