Evidently, she feels that the party has gone right-wing enough to weaken Sanseito who have fallen from their high of 12% last year down to 3-4%.
On a side note, this reminds me of UKIP’s collapse after the Brexit referendum passed in the UK from 14% down to 1%. There is no guarantee that Sanseito won’t come back stronger in a few years like the Brexit Party.
