The UAE and India agreed to pursue a formal Strategic Defense Partnership during a high-level visit. The pact would deepen military cooperation amid shifting regional security dynamics. Leaders also reaffirmed plans to double bilateral trade to $200 billion by 2032. Energy ties equally advanced with a $3 billion, 10-year LNG supply deal. The agreements reflect rapidly expanding UAE-India strategic and economic relations.

I feel like signing this defense pact is a misstep for India. The US is spending decades trying to pull itself out of being tangled in the middle east and India just jumping straight in with a country that has a history of supporting proxy conflicts

India should mass import LNG instead of using domestic coal. would help against the AQI debacle as well.
