Then the State reps who vote for this should also get together and pass legislation that says all white candidates for State elected office, will be automatically LOSE the race, vote counts ignored – if a non-white person runs against them.

Besides being sexist and racist, statistically speaking, they’re going to have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to hit a number like that. I highly doubt that 42% of business that contract with the government are owned by women and minorities.

Goals are fine, I care about rules though.
There should be firm purchasing rules to prevent partisan direction of public money. If they are women owned, minority owned, whatever and they’re still the best price, then more power to em. But government purchasing should be most efficiently spending our resources for the required acceptable product. Literally nothing else matters, especially not race.
