      lol. I doubt Ice was going around up to Asians in San Francisco asking for proof of citizenship. This screams scripted story to get people upset.

      I’m guessing they scooped him up, then looked him up, and said “oh shit this guy can afford a good lawyer” and let him go.

      He was trying to enter the country and left his paperwork in south korea. He was detained like anyone else would be.

      any normal person who flies into the country AND they left their travel documents behind will probably be held in custody until things are sorted out.

      So he didn’t have his paperwork and then was released when his details were confirmed? Sounds like the system functioned perfectly fine.
