  1. **Submission statement**: The Gender Inequality Index is used by governments and policymakers around the world to inform laws and spending decisions. But the GII is mathematically incapable of showing anything other than women being disadvantaged, because it measures health equality with female-only attributes and assumes male health to be always 100%.

    This isn’t very neoliberal of me, but I have never looked at the UN as a global institution and once thought “damn we really get our money’s worth”
