The demented and demonic Tatmadaw Junta is holding sham elections and MAGA-America is buying it. Never mind the Tatmadaw is funded by Russia and China, the USA doesn't care that more even though under Biden (hero) we stood firm and tall with the PDF forces who represent the democratically elected National League for Democracy who only turned to armed resistence when it became apparent the coup would not listen to protests.
The Tatmadaw bombs and targets Christians, something the Trump admin is apparently very upset about in Nigeria but all I hear is crickets from them when the Chin people are bombed. And they bomb Bamars and liberals, the bomb the sword of liberalism, the PDF.
Kristi Noem has stated Burma is "Safe" and is saying all Burmese refugees should return to their horrendous war torn nightmare country. Instead of pushing for the NLD to retake it's rightful place we are siding with the Tatmadaw.

The one constant of the Trump admin is they will always support the wrong side in any conflict sadly. I remember during the early days of the coup when it was still protests not war, Hongkongers shared tactics and techniques to evade police online. Milk Tea Alliance stuff. Of course it quickly devolved into civil war and the hellish place it is today. I hope Burmese refugees can find another safe country if the US is no longer safe.
Strongman supporting strongman. I always believed Trump wants the global version of 1815 Vienna Congress to crush any liberal or democratic forces and establish reactionary global consensus.

I hate to make light of the tragedy but that seems to be the nature of this administration. Any action that does not either (1) immediately enrich the president and his advisors or (2) inflict suffering on their so called “enemies,” is simply ignored. The civil war in Myanmar is especially sad because at one point it looked like the rebels were winning and would soon overthrow the junta forces. Noem deporting refugees back to a warzone is beyond awful. Unfortunately, it looks like strategic malevolence is the policy this administration will once again take.
The idea that Trump would hold any empathy for people of color overseas is absolutely laughable. He doesn’t manage to have any for half of his constituents.
As a reminder, MAGA applauded the Burmese junta’s coup on social media in 2021.
As someone who lives near a large Karen and Chin population: Noem can pry them from my cold dead hands they’re not going back to that hell what the fuck.
