I personally believe in a persons right to decide when to end their life. I was 100% against MAID until a life altering incident a few years back. HOWEVER, this request should never have even been entertained by the governing body, or whatever the death squads name is. A decision that not only affects oneself, but every single person in your circle, near and extended. A decision that will almost always negatively affect those people.

The one overriding criteria must ALWAYS be is the person of sound mind and capable of making the decision. Understanding all the potential repercussions and effects that the decision will have. This young man, and probably most suicidal individuals DO NOT MEET THAT CRITERIA!
