**Submission Statement:** Considering the far right National Party is favored to win the next Presidential elections in France based on current polling, it’s important for us to know their stance on Russian aggression. It seems there is an internal party split regarding the issue. Bardella leads the “Atlantist” faction of the party that believes that Russia is a threat to Europe and must be stopped in Ukraine. Meanwhile Le Pen represents the more “traditionalist” faction of the party that still believes in getting closer to Russia and that France should exit NATO’s integrated command structure.

Why do all these “Nationalists” support their nation’s enemies?

Bardella is definitely trying to pull a Meloni. IMO, this is the future of the far-right in the EU. Either (at least pretend to) move towards the center or alienate the majority of the population and any potential coalition partners like in the Netherlands.
