  1. this is a genuine question, why do people want dems to squeeze hard enough that the gop is forced to nuke the filibuster? they do know that dems have a structural disadvantage in the senate, right?

  2.  From outside the DT:

    >this thread just shows that neolibs are similar to trump in that both are willing to ignore rules and enforcement of said laws when it comes to their pet policies. What to do with that information I do not really know

    >>I’ve been arguing here for some time that both the left and right are becoming more authoritarian. The right is very obviously doing it in a much worse, flirting with literal fascism kind of way. But much of the left is leaning pretty hard on a kind of “doing what (we think) is right is more important than following the law” style of anti-democratic rhetoric… which makes sense after decades of the SCOTUS basically handing us victories we could have never won through the legislative process.

The thread in question? People supporting letting undocumented immigrants stay in America.

Truly they are not sending their best out there.

  3. I just can’t read the news anymore. Whenever I see a headline, all I can think is “How is no one talking about this?”
