They say it is to instill confidence in the recruits in their safety gear, but I went through it and ever since then I have been physically healthy inside and capable of more physical exertion. I can’t put a finger on exactly what it does, but I believe it is possibly helping the body in a long term manner.

  1. It couldn’t have been the physical training and well balanced meals received during basic. It must be something in the gas.

I remember my friends and I ate as much dairy as possible so we could all puke our brains out everywhere so they’d have a mess to clean up..
They let us stay in for two sessions while the other platoon rolled out..
    We didn’t puke. lol

Ah yes……tear gas….much fun. You’re feeling better cuz you’re actually putting in work to stay fit. Not that hard to understand, but you can believe what you want. You do you

  4. Yo, that stuff teaches you basically how to handle it and what it’s going to do for you in the first place is the same as taking OC in the face as a guard.
If you’ve never dealt with it before you’re gonna go into shock and it could affect you worse than having a trained controlled environment, where you’ve been introduced to the substance and what it’s going to do to you.
I can tell you the people that have been around to your gas and know what to expect and how it’s going to react in my opinion or going to deal with it in a better way than the people that are just caught off guard and are surprised

  5. My unit redid the training (this is a couple years after basic) and it wasnt as intense as the first time. Either I had built up a resistance to it, or we weren’t using the same stuff they had in basic. This was in a closed room and we challenged each other to stay in the room. After a while we were just hanging out casual in a room fool of tear gas. I wouldnt say I was comfortable, but it was bearable. As I have gotten older I cringe at the thought of what that long term exposure could mean for me healthwise, but I havent had lung issues and that was quite a while ago (decades). But if they put super soldier serum in that stuff… That seems better than what I was thinking!

  6. I heard y’all take a pill too, and from I have seen y’all are definitely on another level after bootcamp

Dude you drank too much Kool aid. Gas chamber was easy. You could literally hold your breath during all of the mask off portions if you just relaxed.

  8. I went through it. Like with everything else in boot camp, if you follow instructions you’ll have no problems. It was bewildering to me how many people screwed up the exercise.

  9. I didn’t fuck about learning my drills after that so I guess it worked. Health benefits zero.

  10. Every fluid in my sinus, lungs and guts came out. All the bad and good things.. I felt pretty good the next day as well since everything was purged and I started fresh.

  11. You were probably in a secret program so confidential even you don’t know about it, and you’re a super soldier

Or maybe its all the physical training you went through. I have been trough the cyber too, it was just spicy lol. No effects after.

  13. I was sick up until they put me inside. It cleared me up and honestly didn’t affect me as much as others for some reason. I was lucky.
