I’ve been an Anthropic-stan ever since it was clear that their models are far more useful than basically every other commercial LLM, (which sound more like lobotomized teenagers these days), but this just makes me want to upgrade my Claude Code subscription even harder

Anthropic already has the best AI code assistant by far.
And based on his willingness to lose a massive contract, it seems Amodei is that rarest of Si Valley CEOs. Someone with a moral compass that isn’t completely fucking broken.
I am making no claim he’s a saint or even “good” I only know him from his 60 Minutes piece and a few articles. But he is easily the most tolerable of these Si Valley AI dudes. So he’s at least got that going for him.
So he’s won the tentative support of this random asshole on the internet with no power.
