Sure and Barack Obama is similar to Rahm Emanuel.

Charisma/communication competency famously has no impact on electability

  2. And he’s a white man who is good looking and more charismatic. So in political terms, he is **nothing** like Kamala.

As usual from matt, there isn’t much substantive here

All that really matters is how Newsom polls nationally when the primary hits

  4. Gavin Newsom is a charismatic white man. Unfortunately that makes him significantly more electable than an awkward African American woman with very similar views.

  5. >If that’s what you want, then that’s what you want. But polling I’ve seen shows that Democratic Party primary voters strongly prefer an electable candidate over ideological orthodoxy — and they also think Newsom is a strong electability choice. This just does not make sense. I also enjoy his tweets. But if you want to nominate someone who is good at beating Republicans in elections, then you should nominate someone who has demonstrated skill at beating Republicans in elections rather than once again going with someone whose primary achievements are in intra-party elite bargaining.

It’s the people that are wrong

    Matt doesn’t get vibes
