In any case, Putin has offered to extend the treaty for another year but the Trump Administration has ignored the plea. If no consensus or extension is reached here, consequences may rack up over time.

Weren’t we already not being allowed to do inspections of the stockpile. Like to my understanding this was basically just a one sided piece of paper.
It’s honestly well past time for the world to give up its nukes though. Obviously it won’t happen soon, due to current conflicts but the world is made worse off by the tension.
