    Child and Dependent Care Tax (CDCT) Credit is so laughably useless and under used because of how low the max AGI you can have for claiming it. You’re more likely to have a standard deduction erase your tax liability than the CDCT Credit is to actually give you any credit against your tax liability.

    It’s a perfect example of how much of a hole in a donut these credits can be. The max you cam claim is $3000 ($6000 for two or more), which was set in **2001** and has never been increased.
