A 2002 Geocities Conspiracy Page Outlining “Concentration Camps on US Soil” Aligns With the Current 2026 ICE Facility Map

I stumbled on an old Geocities page from December 2002 called "Concentration Camps on US Soil." (Archived on Wayback Machine)

The page is quite sensational and claims every military base and facility under the sun is being used as a US concentration camp, including closed airfields, WWII POW camps, Japanese internment sites, and private prison facilities in every state.

The map on the 2002 Geocities page (shown on the first slide above) specifically tracked CCA (Corrections Corporation of America) and Wackenhut facilities.

The part that gave me pause is that when I compared it to a 2025 map of ICE detention facilities, the overlap is striking.

When I researched this further, I found that the Corrections Corporation of America, now rebranded as CoreCivic, and Wackenhut, which was acquired by GEO Group, are now both operating the majority of ICE detention beds in the country.

The 2002 page was posted before ICE even existed, but just days after the Homeland Security Act was signed. So…this 2002 conspiracy group was perhaps watching the infrastructure get built in real time and documenting its implications….

The real takeaway isn't that a conspiracy theory predicted the future or anything….

It's that the U.S. has maintained a massive latent detention infrastructure for decades, built during wartime and kept alive through the private prison industry.

The government keeps recycling the same real estate. Florence, AZ, for example, was a WWII prison camp and is now one of the largest ICE complexes in the country.

The 2002 conspiracy crowd got the mechanism right (federal detention capacity being quietly expanded under emergency authorities)

But the target was wrong,

Or was it? They imagined "patriots" and dissidents, not immigrants………

But even so, now the DHS is spending $55 billion under a repurposed Navy contract to convert warehouses into mega-detention centers across the country.

And the possibility of an extremely combative Midterm election is coming up. With strife and confrontation from the gov and the people….

Perhaps the conspiracy in 2002 will become a reality this year
