I recently collaborated with a mythology professor to produce a dark documentary covering 5 real-world cases of vampirism, all documented in 18th-century medical journals.
The first archive focuses on a 1732 case from Serbia involving a man named Peter Plogojowitz. Although he died in 1730, he allegedly returned to terrorize his village shortly after. A military surgeon was dispatched from Vienna to investigate, and his actual findings were absolutely chilling.
I'll leave the other 4 cases as a surprise for you!
We managed to source several descriptive illustrations and authentic journals from that era, which are currently held in national libraries and museums.
If this sparks your curiosity, I’ve posted a youtube link to the full investigation of all 5 cases in the comments below.

I spent over a month tracking down these specific archives and translating the original reports to make sure every detail is historically accurate.

And they say stuff like twilight is fiction. It’s just like how stranger things is based on a true story.
