He doesn't want Western media corruption in Russia. We all know who controls the media anyways

Don’t be so naive the real reason is to prevent spying and to make it harder for Russian citizens to know what’s going on with the world

I think we have all already been put into similar bubbles and we don’t even know it, there’s tons of countries I never see people commenting from.
Really only USA, Canada and Australia are the ones I see

  3. yeah but if he was smart enough he would have tried to eliminate corruption in his country instead of invading ukraine

  4. Because he continues to feed the poor, the desperate, and prison populations into a pointless meat grinder that is never going to advance Russia’s long term interests at this point?

Dude.  No.  He would love “corrupt” Western media is it supported his corrupt agenda.  If Europe were all about Russia invading Alaska, he would call himself Western.  If the US gave him f35s to bomb Ukrainian elementary schools, Facebook would be all over Russia.  Don’t pretend Putin bans Western software because he is better than the West.  It would be nice if someone was, but it isn’t Putin.

Meanwhile Russia is flooding the internet and social media with propaganda for over a decade. You can see that as early as 2014. Its the reason why the US reached that point. One of the reasons why Trump won. One of the reasons why the US is so divided. From paid influencers to bot networks. They know that social media is a weapon. They are also a dictatorship for over 2 decades in a war with laws about “badmouhting the military” and other stuff. You can get in trouble for even searching some topics.

No offense, I truly mean this, but I can see why smoothed brain people would believe in and like Putin.

They are fed up with their own government and country for a number of reasons. They know their government lies and hides stuff from the people with no accountability. They feel like they’ve been forgotten and that no one cares about them.

Then they see the clips that Putin and the FSB purposely release to trick the disillusioned and jaded. I’ll admit, Putin, once in awhile, will put out a quote with SOME truth to it and that resonates with these jaded souls.

In a world where they see their govt figures constantly lie and hide stuff, where they’re already fed up with their government, they hear something that’s slightly true or aligns with an already preconceived belief or notion that person has and BOOM, hook line and sinker.

Putin came to power from the intelligence community in Russia. A Colonel in the KGB that has deep ties with the Russian mob. He was an enforcer/fixer for a politician after the fall of the USSR and was making tons of money for m his backroom shady dealings while making that politician look amazing.

To trust Putin is no different then trusting a snake. It’s truly not hard to see why smooth brains fall for his BS. He knows what he’s doing, it’s his entire background.

He is no better than Trump, Biden, Bush or any other politicians, and he’s especially NO DIFFERENT.

This is how American Communists are born, this is nothing new.

The first thing he did once in power was bomb multiple apartment blocs in Moscow so he could invade Chechnya and gain support for fighting “terrorism”, just like Bush.

No he doesn’t want his people to see that he’s a failure. That Ukraine is holding its own or that thousands of Russians are dying everyday for his “special military operation”

The sooner he’s unalived the better the world will be.

🤣🤣 he doesn’t want his people to know the truth and throw a fucking coup. What world do we live in where people (magats) think Putin is a stand up guy. How fucking far down the drain are you??

  10. His government also intercepts and blocks VPN traffic. Only a handful of countries around the world do that. The list of countries who do it are all despotic, authoritarian, dictatorships who don’t want free speech in their societies. He’s not in good company.

Any time you see a country blocking or restricting access to the internet or VPN’s, it’s an indicator of an anti-democratic ideologies
