hes still under investigation.  he was questioned for 10 hours without charge.  building a case takes time.

the fact they nabbed him at all implies they have something, it wouldn’t have been easy to get that warrant.

Don’t get me wrong, hes the Kings brother,  im not expecting much from this.

But him being released after questioning is pretty standard.

Edit: if he is charged,  remember that court cases can take years,  especially with his lawyers.

The longest anyone can be held without being charged is 24 hours, which can be extended to 36-96 hours in exceptional circumstances. He was released under investigation, so the case continues and the police can recall or rearrest him at any time if their investigation warrants it. Today they booked him into the system, gathered evidence at his residences and it remains to be seen what happens now.

On the face of it, there is enough evidence in the Epstein files alone to charge him with misconduct in public office for sharing trade and state secrets with Epstein. As much as people are out for blood, and as much as they want to nail him for being a pedo, at the end of the day the police have to treat this as any other case, and are not going to put a special show on just because he’s the king’s brother.
