  1. Neither can much of the Reddit hockey fan base. Currently they’re complaining about *the team taking pictures with the sitting President*. I understand I was raised in a different time, but the outlook I always had was that if I won a medal or did something else amazing, I would take pictures with *any* president, senator, governor, etc. and consider it an honor to have met them.

  2. Checking on the usual suspects.

CNN has decided to focus on the killing of a drug lord cartel and the chaos it created over spotlighting a hockey win that hasn’t happened in over 40 years.

MS”NBC” focusing on the fact that Patel is celebrating and not working.

Fox has a very nice listing of the hockey win and an invite to the White House.

Let’s not be surprised at the Huffington Post

I now understand why the nation is the way it is. The media has shaped them into it. I watched Fox and Friends the other day. It was amazing fun to watch. They actually reported news not in a cynical way, but in a way that helped me understand the situation and helped me be proud that we are trying to do something positive about it. Sure they rant a little to heavy on certain topics that I eye roll too, but their news reporting reminded me of reporting back in the 80s. Sure, there is always bad news, but they made sure to keep the nation apprised and with the resolve that we are doing the right things to make the world a better place.
