Submission Statement: this article shows Democrats not abandoning trans rights, despite many polls showing that they could gain more votes by doing so. It also discusses the difference between vibes based leftists and the realities of policy. An example includes a comparison of online discourse (leftist Twitter) and actual institutional behavior in Congress.

That’s good. We shouldn’t throw people under the bus.

God bless, an article that calls out Hasan for the lying bastard he is. Democrats have not abandoned trans people. Do not fall for the propaganda of those that see trans people as a mere pawn in their political games.

I truly believe that Democrats don’t lose votes because they support trans rights, they lose votes because people perceive that they care *more* about trans rights and other ‘social issues’ than kitchen table issues like affordability. That was what made the ‘Kamala’s for they/them, I’m for you’ ad effective – it fed into a preconceived notion that Democrats have misplaced priorities and don’t care about the concerns of the many.
Abigail Spanberger is a great example of a Democrat who has made it clear she won’t abandon LGBT people including trans people but is laser-focused on what voters care about.
