Most privacy is unnecessary honestly, and wealthy manipulators are using privacy as a shield right now to run their propaganda campaigns. Having said that, there are two big privacy concerns that have to be considered in discussions like this. The first is the risk that comes with many people knowing about you. This increases your risk of having an interaction with a crazy person. The second is government suppression. In stable democracy this isn’t much of a threat, since the courts serve as a strong check against a retaliatory government. However, if corruption becomes too rampant and the government is captured by authoritarians, this becomes a major risk.
