Yeah, he’s serious about picking the military option for Taiwan. Between this and the CMC purge, he wants a senior leadership that’s going to push to get the forces ready.

Feels like Xi’s getting more paranoid, and retracting into a bubble, much like Putin. I bet the ousted military leaders told him truths about their readiness for reunification that Xi wasn’t willing to hear.
