  1. Also, the AI firm is on the supply chain risk.

*“Effective immediately, no contractor, supplier, or partner that does business with the United States military may conduct any commercial activity with Anthropic,” Hegseth wrote.*

There is going to be a 6 month phaseout, vaguely threatening more consequences for the company after that.

According to the Washington Post, articles,

*The ultimate winner could now prove to be Elon Musk’s xAI, which defense officials say has already agreed to the Pentagon’s terms for working on classified systems. Musk jumped on Michael’s social media thread Friday, saying “Anthropic hates Western Civilization.”*

*The Pentagon is ready to move forward with Grok, produced by Elon Musk’s xAI, on its classified system. But Grok is considered by current and former government officials to be an inferior product. And switching A.I. software would take time and almost certainly cause disruption.*

Well, I dread to see the chaos that this will cause

I would like to apologize to anthropic. I was not familiar with your dedication towards preventing AI access from falling into the hands of hostile governments

  3. As if all the EOs, reorgs, firings, and multiple shutdowns weren’t enough disruption for DoD procurement this year..

    *sigh*
