Seeing how AI is progressing, and how robotics and bio-engineering are accelerating day by day, we will have fully autonomous androids living among us within the next 20-30 years, effectively replacing all human labor and leaving the majority of humanity unemployed and unnecessary.
This will cause a massive split between wealthy individuals and poor masses.
Elon Musk is saying we will live on a universal high income, but economically speaking, this seems like wishful thinking rather than reality. It's unfathomable to imagine 8.3 billion people living on a universal high income in the areas where they live.
The World Bank's threshold for high income in 2026 is a gross national income per capita of $14,000. However, "high income" for an individual is typically defined as significantly above the median – for example, $20,000 per person. That's $166 trillion per year.
Why would they want to keep 8.3 billion people worldwide when money loses all value?
Every super-rich person could basically have a personal mini-city with their own android workforce, and global android companies handling construction, manufacturing, growing food, and so on.
This would leave rich people living absolutely care-free for the rest of their lives, essentially creating a "heaven on earth" for themselves.
Why would they even consider the rest of humanity? They don't need elections, they don't need cheap labor, they don't need to import products, and so on. Out of 8.3 billion people, 1 million worldwide would be more than enough, right?
Every person could have multiple personal androids (as we saw in Detroit: Become Human) who are essentially 24/7 slaves.
I think they realize this. Covid was a test run. Something much worse might come in the upcoming years, just to reduce the stress and workload necessary to accommodate and support 8.3 billion people.

I’d go with 40% of the population over 99 years but I’d say that’s western civilisation. No idea what China or India or all of Africa are going to do.
You know that at the end of the day, the billionaires are selling something. That’s what makes them billionaires, of they want to reduce the number of people, who they are going to sell things and services to?

Information is the greatest tool one can have. Every time in history when the masses gained more access to knowledge it put a dent in the plans of the so-called “elite”. Learn to own and run your own local offline AI models. There’s two sides of this… yes, big companies and all WILL indeed try to use AI to control the masses but the genie is out of the bottle and the individual can harness this power too. It is why they are desperate to remove all forms of product and intellectual ownership / sovereignty. One person can now be 100x and they fear that. They always wanted the masses to be sheep and now we can be our own shepherds. Think of it in terms of wars between civilizations of huge technological gaps. How does the “primitive” side of such a war have a chance to turn the tables? They use the weapons of their technologically superior enemies and even the playing field. Do that..prevent the centralization of everything. We need to return to an internet that once was.. one that is decentralized, many independent islands versus 4-5 continents that it has become. That is how we can stop the super rich from performing their plans; things that honestly were all seemingly fantastical conspiracy for years but..as we seen from the Epstein files… actually close to the truth
