Israel doesn’t want a legitimate stable democratic Iran because that Iran would still oppose Israel probably more diplomatically than through terrorism. Way too many people don’t seem to understand that Israel’s long term goals here run counter to the American neocon’s long term goals in Iran.

Can anyone tell me why we didn’t use the CIA to at least attempt to arm and organize a Liberal Iranian resistance group BEFORE we attacked, instead of having to rely on ethnic separatist groups that might just balkanize that nation, and could get other powers involved?
