Basically a quiet call for every Dem besides Swalwell, Porter, and maybe Steyer to drop out

There’s so many dems right now that there’s a chance two Republicans can be the final 2 in the Jungle Primary. Which is a major reason why I think a Jungle Primary without ranked choice is stupid.

Submission statement : an amusing/not amusing situation in the California governor primary. The two candidates with the most votes in the primary advance to the general. With 8 democratic candidates, the two frontrunners are currently both republican, creating the possibility of no democratic candidates in the general. With 3 days before the deadline to register for the governor race, the party chair has called for Democratic candidates polling the worst to drop out and consolidate the field. In response two of the lowest polling candidates immediately registered for the race.

This is probably the perfect encapsulation of Democrat politics.
