A lot of ink is spilled equivocating left wing bigotry with right wing bigotry. I’m sorry, I don’t think left wingers come close. I really highly doubt that the NYC DSA group chats look like this.

Submission statement: the youth are the future. The future of their communities, their parties, and their countries. I post this not to scandalise, even though this sure is scandalous behaviour, but to demonstrate what is at stake. It is time to accept that the Republican Party is not going to become normal of its own volition in the foreseeable future. But at the same time, that leaves us with a situation where one of the two main parties is fundamentally incompatible with liberal democracy, and where every election is a coin toss between civilisation and the deluge.
It’s time we start thinking about what can be done within the bounds of liberal morality in order to restore American political culture to the bounds of liberal morality. Because these people represent half the future of the country, if only we let them.

Do places like national review just bury their heads in the sand about stuff like this? I know the answer, it’s just an utterance of rhetorical desperation and helplessness.
One wonders how Nelson Rockefeller and Ike would have felt about this. Ike especially, given his role against Nazism in WWII.
