1. I think we’re headed there. We’re caught in a classic escalation trap and Trump is far too stupid to understand what that is or why it’s so dangerous.
Given trumps absolute distain for American troops in the past and general lack of care for anyone that dies under his watch I do wonder how the various military branches present options to him. If it wasn’t for the bad optics I’m sure he would happily throw most of the US military into a meat grinder if he thought he could profit from it somehow.
