Milton Friedman once argued that the draft was a version of slavery.
It would never happen mostly because they know most people wouldn’t do it these days. People would rather go to prison and they can’t put everyone in prison.

How many troops needed to invade and properly occupy Iran? Surely 1M+, close to 2 million right? If they wanna do it there’s gonna be one hell of a draft.
