Religion = psychological enslavement. Don’t outsource your thinking to external authorities, think for yourself. Anyone can train an LLM to agree with them. The closest thing to religion I can appreciate is Gnosticism because it rejects church authority and hierarchy in favour of personal direct experience, and calls out the fact that a benevolent creator worthy of our respect could never have created this universe. Something hostile maybe. “the forbidden religion” by Jose M. Herrou Aragon is a good modern intro if you’re curious.
In the end I highly suggest you reject all dogma, analyse the roots of your thoughts and feelings, identify ways you have been conditioned since childhood, and take your emotions and expectations of what the world should look like out of the equation when trying to understand what it is if truth matters more to you than comfort
